Sikorsky CH-53
A reputation for high-quality instruction.   Our Chief Flight Instructor Ezra Bavly is a Class 1 Transport Canada approved-instructor, with over 8500 hours of flight time.  He is also a USFAA-certified instructor.
The proof is in the numbers.  On average, E-Z Air student pilots score 15 to 25 points higher than the national average on the Commercial Helicopter Pilot flight test.
We are the training establishment of choice for the local law enforcement helicopter flight operations unit.  We are proud to be the school that the Edmonton Police Service trusts for training.
We are an approved post-secondary institution.  We take the time to help our students plan for the costs associated with becoming professional pilots, including applications for government student loans and grants.
Location, location, location! We are located at Edmonton's City Centre Airport.   Travel time is usually minimal for students, and there is an abundance of reasonably-priced rental accommodations in the area.
Our simulator.  We have invested in building a Transport Canada-approved  Level 2 Simulator.  What does that mean?  It means that this is not a toy or video game!  Our students can receive flight time credit for up to 5 hours of simulator time at a fraction of the cost.     >>More info
Former students also report that flying in and out of a busy urban airport during their training is very valuable experience, making the transition to "real world" flying much easier.

Instrument Flight Rules training. Currently E-Z Air is the only school in Alberta offering training for helicopter instrument ratings.  While not everyone needs an instrument rating, we believe in offering our students a complete range of training opportunities.
Few pilots in the industry can lay claim to this kind of experience.  Our CFI has flown in all helicopter weight categories on 3 continents, ranging from the tiny Robinson R22 to the massive Sikorsky  CH-53 Stallion.  His operational experience ranges from ab-initio flight training, to bush flying in the Canadian North, to dark night naval rescue operations and inflight air-refuelling.
Beautiful weather for flying...in the simulator!
